What stays on your Mac

Your audio, transcripts and summaries stay on your computer. Transcription uses Apple's speech recognition and summaries use Apple Intelligence, both running on the Mac itself.

We have no server that receives your recordings, and we cannot read what you record.

macOS asks your permission for the microphone and for the Mac's audio. Listener captures only while you have a recording running.

What we collect when you buy

Payment is processed by Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never pass through us.

We receive only your email and the payment confirmation. The email is embedded in the licence key, and it is what the app shows as "Licensed to".

What the app sends

Once a week the app downloads the list of deactivated keys from getlistener.vercel.app/revoked.json. It sends nothing about you in that request beyond what any website visit reveals (such as your IP address).

macOS may download language models for transcription from Apple. The system does that, not us.

The website

The website is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard technical access logs (such as IP address and browser). We use no analytics tools and no advertising cookies. We store one cookie with the language you picked.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your purchase data by writing to luizhcrs@gmail.com. Records Stripe is legally required to keep stay with Stripe.

If we change this policy, the new version appears on this page with the date updated.
